Yet another contestant from Grease: You're the One That I Want has found a steady gig in New York: Chad Doreck, who was labeled "Ambitious Danny" and finished fourth in the reality show, will join the cast of the off-Broadway musical Altar Boyz on September 3 as Matthew, replacing Matthew Buckner. Altar Boyz is now in its third year at New World Stages.
Doreck began his career as a model, appearing at age six in a Weird Science music video with Kelly LeBrock. He serves as the voice of Crackle for Rice Krispies and voiced characters for the Nickelodeon series My Life as a Teenage Robot. In addition to acting roles, Doreck produced and directed the 2006 independent film Tupac Is Not Dead.
Altar Boyz, the a musical comedy about a small-town boy band with members named Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham, also features Landon Beard, Jay Garcia, Ryan J Ratliff and Ryan Strand, and is directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.
